About Your Coach
Dr. Jeff Munn grew up in the small town of Oxford, NC, just north of Raleigh. From a young age, he declared he would one day become a veterinarian and own his own practice—a vision he remained steadfastly committed to throughout his life.
After earning his Bachelor of Science degree from NC State in 1992, Dr. Munn graduated from NC State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. His career began as an assistant at Mayfair Animal Hospital in Cary, NC, a practice owned by his relative, Dr. S.T. “Tom” Currin. It was here that he met Kathy, a smart and driven fellow veterinarian-in-training. They married in 1999 and have built a life centered around family, veterinary medicine, and entrepreneurial
ventures.
In 2002, Dr. Munn co-founded Poplar Animal Hospital in Concord, NC, with his classmate, Dr. Mauricio Amat. What began as an idea on a kitchen table and a sign in a field has grown into a thriving, full-service animal hospital with six doctors and around 22,000 patient visits annually.
Beyond his work as a veterinarian, Munn has developed a passion for mentoring, speaking, and entrepreneurship. These interests culminated in the founding of Vetripreneur, a platform designed to empower veterinarians to achieve their personal and professional goals by combining veterinary medicine with entrepreneurial principles.
